StormPay under investigate ?
Posted On 2006-02-08 , 11:14 AM
I wouldn't be so quick to assume that Clay is correct in his comments. He does not cite a source for this information, so it is most likely from Stormpay, which of course would not be that definitive, as evidence of truth.

it appears that the gov'mint will ensure that no one that had any funds in any auto surf program or any HYIP will get any money from Stormpay: not sure where the money will go.. it obviously will NOT be refunded to 12DFP or AT.... guess the FBI must attned the Storm Pay race track.. maybe they get some "off the table".. or is it off the "racetrack"? I hope I am wrong... I stand to lose thousands.. SOoo.... maybe someone like,,,, Charis or Vince can look into THIS new twist on what has become a sick soap opera involving the potential loss of ...what? 400 million for 12DP investors... and 7 million o for the AT investors?
Here's what Peter sent me:
AAN UPDATE: StormPay... of Course The Deal with StormPay: I'm glad I didn't send out some kind of update a couple of days ago about StormPay. Turns out most of what I heard was just rampant rumors. StormPay has not vacated their building and it didn't burn down. They are doing business as close to 'as usual' as they can given the circumstances. It's not as bad as you think, unless of course you had lots of money tied up in autosurf or hyip programs that accepted StormPay. It is true that StormPay suspended all accounts owned by autosurf and severaly hyip programs.
But what most of you don't know is, they were instructed to do so by U.S. Government officials. That being the FBI. This all started when a group of college students at BYU (Utah) found out about 12DailyPro and built a website to promote it as an investment group. That's a big no-no but they didn't know any better. The dean at the college found out about it and reported 12dp.
He also threatened to expel those students if they continued promoting it, assuming 12dp was a 'risky, unethical and possibly illegal enterprise.' This comes from a report by ABC. One thing led to another and the FBI traced all this back to StormPay.
Long story short they now want to investigate all those autosurf and hyip programs as possible ponzi or pyramid schemes.
A ponzi or pyramid scheme is an affiliate program of some kind that offers no real product or service. So that is what 12dp admin and others will have to prove. Their StormPay accounts can be frozen for up to 180 days pending investigation.
If the authorities find those activities to be illegal they intend to begin a refund process to all affected victims. [ yeah...ri8ght: sooo whan is the last time ..when the gov/mint got involved that YOU got any money back???? ] ---Patrck...............
The reason the StormPay site has been up and down and up and down so much the past 3 days is because there are apparently some very angry people out there who lost a lot of money. Some of those people know something about hacking and DDOS (Distributed Denial Of Service) attacks. If you are not familiar with what that is, a DDOS attack is when someone programs a script that breaks into several servers and then sends site hits or messages from all of them to a single targeted server at a rate of about 10,000 hits per second.
This shuts the target server down thereby denying legitimate visitors access to that site. A good network engineer can find and block the ports being attacked as long as the source doesn't keep changing them. I believe StormPay has more than one attacker out there and that's why this down time has lasted so much longer than normal. But you know the site is working because it does come back up eventually. Today it has been up longer than it has in 3 days. I had 2 withdrawals from StormPay that I submitted last week. One to my bank account and one to my StormPay debit card. Both were processed and I have that money now. So they are or were processing withdrawals. I say 'were' because that process seems to have slowed down quite a bit. My guess is it's because the server keeps getting knocked down. There's a panic going on right now that is mostly due to misinformation or a lack of information. StormPay waited way too long to update us on this. Could be they were not a liberty to disclose any information at first. Think about it.
The FBI doesn't want to scare off all those people before they can investigate them and if necessary punish them by law.
Don't get me wrong here folks. I have never really cared for StormPay. I think a lot of you are the same way. I felt like they were the only option most of the time so I used their services and paid their ultra high fees. Their support isn't very good and this NetIBA certification thing is just a big joke. NetIBA is owned by StormPay.
Patrick PS: guess I wont be signing up to ANY auto surf programs in the future..........

Clay has a new update:
Here is the AAN update:
"StormPay just started removing (stealing) money from just about everyones account. They are doing chargebacks like crazy, mostly for 5 Day Funds and 12DailyPro funds received. Plus they are charging a $75 chargeback fee to your account for EACH transaction that they initiated the chargeback for.
Now I'm not an attorney but I'm pretty sure this is illegal activity. I think it's time someone filed a class action suit against them. StormPay just cancelled all my withdrawals that had not gone through yet. Then they REMOVED $22,000 from my account.
If you can login you need to go in and cancel any subscriptions you have, try to withdraw anything you can, remove any credit cards from your account, and basically get out as quick as you can. Yes, this is going to kill AAN.
They already removed so much AAN money from my account that I am now WAY below the RESERVE amount they set on my account. That means I won't have access to what's left, can't make any payments to anyone, and can't withdraw anything. First INTGold and now this! I am literally sick to my stomach right now. StormPay.com Freezes Accounts
The Better Business Bureau of Middle Tennessee alerts the public to the business practices of StormPay.com of Clarksville, Tennessee. During the first six weeks of 2006, StormPay.com has generated more complaints to BBB than any other Middle Tennessee or Southern Kentucky business.
In the past seven days, BBB has received 18,926 inquiries from consumers around the world checking on the reliability of StormPay.com.
Complaints filed by consumers from around the world state that StormPay.com has frozen their online accounts and will not release funds due.
StormPay.com is an online payment processor which acts as an intermediary in the processing of funds between a web site and a customer. "Since the end of January, BBB has received over 180 complaints from users of StormPay.com" says BBB President/CEO, Kathleen Calligan. "A review of complaints filed by users indicate that the company is holding in excess of $460,000" explains Calligan.
An email sent to at least one complaintant by StormPay, states in part "…should you choose to attempt to recover your funds through other means, that conduct will result in the forfeiture of any refund…"
The majority of complaints filed with BBB, concern StormPay's freezing of accounts from users who participate in "auto-surfing" programs. An "auto-surfing" program reportedly generates money to the user every time a user visits a participating web site.
It is the position of the Better Business Bureau that auto surfing programs can post a financial risk to participants. Often "auto- surfing" programs are thinly veiled pyramid schemes cleverly devised to participants.
Due to the complaint volume, international scope of participants and amount of money involved, BBB is requesting the assistance of federal authorities for further investigation. _____________________________ And they haven't seen anything yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have emails going to all 50 USA states and 132 foreign countries!!
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks Lutian

Update on Communications With StormPay Joint Statement by 12DailyPro and StormPay
Attorneys for LifeClicks, LLC (the owner of 12DailyPro.com) and StormPay, Inc. have been communicating to attempt to resolve business disputes between LifeClicks and StormPay. Those discussions have been productive and useful, and are continuing. StormPay’s representatives have assured LifeClicks that StormPay is a viable company and is still open for business, and StormPay has provided assurances that it is able to cover, dollar for dollar with money in the bank, any deposits that may be held in any StormPay account. Any previous statements regarding LifeClicks’ concern or doubts about StormPay’s ability to make any necessary payments are hereby withdrawn, based on these assurances from StormPay.
StormPay and LifeClicks have been made aware of the existence of investigations into the 12DailyPro program by investigators at the FBI and the states of North Carolina and Georgia. Both StormPay and LifeClicks intend to cooperate fully in any investigation that may be ongoing.
Both StormPay and LifeClicks would appreciate your continued patience with us as we continue to work on a resolution of our current disputes and to develop a solution to restore the processing of members’ payments and reimbursements through StormPay accounts. Please understand that if members initiate a chargeback with their credit card issuers, both StormPay and LifeClicks will be liable for related chargeback fees that may be incurred. Any chargeback fees will only serve to reduce the pool of available funds to be used for refunds and reimbursements. If you have already initiated a chargeback, please contact your credit card issuer and reverse the chargeback.
Many of you will notice that payments you have received recently from 12Daily Pro have been refunded back to the LifeClicks account by StormPay. StormPay has explained that the purpose of these refunds is to attempt to secure as many funds as possible to make the widest and broadest effort to refund 12DailyPro customers that we can. LifeClicks can confirm that there are 12DailyPro funds available at StormPay, and we are working together to formulate an orderly and equitable reimbursement plan for refunding as many of you as we possibly can. We appreciate your continued patience as we work through this process.

Also Call :Trish from the Clarksville police department
